My Review
 

Allegiant was my most anticipated read of the year(2013)....actually, probably ever! But unfortunately I was let down by this final intsalment in a trilogy that previously rocked my bookish world!

I am in no way going to spoil this read for anyone else, but I will say this:

I didn't like the dual narrative. I really thought I would, because really? Any Four action should be a good thing - right? Wrong! I couldn't even tell the differences between Tris and Four's chapters, they blended together and sometimes I found myself having to flip back to the start of the chapter to remind myself who's point of view I was reading.

I didn't get any 'feels' from this book. Nothing really grabbed me, made me nervous, excited or thrilled like the first two books. There were parts of Divergent and Allegiant that my heart was truly in my mouth and I had shivers all over - this one not at all!

Shockingly, I was disinterested in the storyline. I felt that it lost it's excitement and not a lot actually happened. It could of so easily been a 'did not finish' book, but because I am such a huge fan of the series I had to slog on through.

Believe it or not I actually really did think the ending rocked. It was shocking, cut throat and utterly ruthless - which I loved! Veronica Roth showed some true Dauntless style in her execution of the brutally brilliant and super surprising ending - I know it left readers everywhere reeling!

Having been a little....let down by this conclusion, I would like to say that I think Veronica Roth is a fantastic writer that has brought a truly spectacular world to the table here for us all to get lost in. I adored Divergent and Insurgent - I will most definitely be picking up anything she ever writes in the future.
